Christopher J. Bettacchi, MD
Infectious Diseases ConsultantDr. Bettacchi joined North Texas Infectious Diseases Consultants in 2010 after completing his Infectious Disease fellowship at the UAB Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. Prior to his fellowship, he served as an Assistant Professor at the UAB Hospitalist Program. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, he completed his medical school training at St. George’s University in New York and his Internal Medicine Residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago.
Dr Bettacchi became a valuable part of the research department as a Principle investigator helping to bring lifesaving medications for infectious diseases like HIV, Hepatitis C and c-diff to market. He has been a part of participating in multiple clinical trial at NTIDC as a sub-investigator and a principle investigator.
Clinically, Dr. Bettacchi is dedicated to the care of transplant recipients, post-operative and orthopedic patients, and those with HIV and Hepatitis C. Dr. Bettacchi is married with 2 children, and enjoys running and biking at White Rock Lake!
